"I had been experiencing knee pain for around a year and a half, I’d tried physiotherapy, a chiropractic course and even had an MRI saying I’ve got a bakers cyst which would need an operation to drain the fluid.
I was experiencing lots of pain which limited my every day, walking to work, standing up for more than an hour, the way I sat and I had to stop running. I was experiencing pain every day and started wearing a knee support and went through deep heat like it was going out of fashion!

"Back in May I was suffering with ITBS or runners knee. After resting, icing it & half hearted strengthening exercises - it kept recurring. Start of July I increased my sessions with Lewis. He gave me some simple but effective exercises to repeat daily at home as well as intensive strength work in the gym. After 2 weeks I started to see results. 4 weeks after I completed 110km in Snowdonia pain free. This August I’ve clocked up over 400km in training & I’ve never felt stronger. My next race will be running across the Grand Canyon 275km, which I’m feeling extremely confident about now.

"Incredible results. I had been struggling with ITBS for 4 weeks whilst training for a marathon, unable to run more than 5 minutes and the best advice given was to "rest and ice it". I went to see Lewis with only 10 days until the race, he quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me a plan with exercises to do each day. Lewis was thorough, taking the time to explain why each exercise was important, how it worked and why it would help. Within 3 days I was back to running and by day 10 I finished the marathon. I’d approached him when I was struggling with some long term knee and shoulder issues – things that had been treated by many physios over the years but not really fixed. Beyond that we’re working together to improve mobility and build strength and the results have been brilliant. "I can't recommend Lewis highly enough. I was suffering from some shoulder pain with certain movements, which was causing me quite a bit of discomfort at night. Lewis gave me a thorough assessment and then worked me through a small group of exercises to open out my shoulder blades and back.
The results were, if I'm honest, incredible. After 1 session, the pain was all but gone. I have a program to follow now as part of my regular training, and I'm extremely happy.

"Since I started training with Lewis, changes in both my mind and body have been quite remarkable.
I had quite severe lower back pain around my SI joint, which impacted my work and life 24/7. Through his intelligent strength training and his ever-increasing knowledge, I am now pain-free. "My journey to a mobile and pain-free retirement started with my darling wife ‘encouraging’ me to go to to the gym regularly. Having embarked on a simple programme three times per week, I started to notice Lewis putting people through some most curious exercises. Then David joined and over a period of three months I watched in amazement how he progressed, due in part to Lewis’s instruction and also David’s hard work and determination. The final nudge was an article Lewis wrote about the fallacy of static stretching. After a fascinating chat I signed up for an assessment. "I started with Lewis about 4 years after a diagnosis of hip and psoas impingement on the recommendation of some friends. I have had various treatments over the years with limited success and my next option was surgery which I was keen to avoid. I had read a little bit about biomechanics as a growing area of interest in non-surgical/ pharmacological management of muscular-skeletal problems however I was quite sceptical initially and really anxious about making it worse. Lewis was incredibly understanding of this, explained all of his suggestions throughly and within weeks I felt a huge improvement. Day to day activities are much easier, particularly driving which was always really painful. If I do have pain I have a set of really quick exercises to do for immediate relief and videos of the full exercises programme.

"I was diagnosed with Piriformis syndrome 2 years ago. Despite exercise plans from several Physios, the pain just kept getting worse. I could no longer do the activities I loved. Even walking short distances became too painful. The pain disturbed my sleep. No-one seemed to be able to help. I contacted Lewis as I was curious about his alternative approach. He explained why my Piriformis was causing me so much pain. He explained why my Physio prescribed exercises were not helping and in fact were making me worse. "Tore both cartilages in my left knee and could barely negotiate stairs having to do them one at a time both up and down. Decided to talk to Lewis and after a few sessions with him I was walking much better as well as being able to walk (all be it slowly) up and down stairs normally.
